New sweater and hat for the fairy godchild!

The patterns are from The Yarn Girls’ Guide to Kid Knits, and the yarn is Cascade 220. I love pink and orange together. The pattern didn’t call for striped sleeves, but I was feeling wacky so I striped them. Also, I accidentally reversed Color A and Color B and I probably would have run out of yarn if I had followed the pattern and had the same color-blocking on the sleeves as on the body. But I like the stripes even better, so yay. However…I really should have carried the yarn instead of cutting it between stripes. Really. Weaving in ends is not fun.

This is a great hat pattern. It worked up quickly, and it is just so freaking cute. The hat was supposed to have pompoms on the peaks, but I didn’t like the way mine looked, so I made tassels and crocheted little caps for them.

Dennis in his Manly Sweater from Stitch-n-Bitch. The yarn is the Peruvian Highland wool from elann.com. I didn’t do the color blocking on the chest that the pattern showed, because Dennis isn’t a big fan of such things. So it’s just a cozy charcoal heather wool sweater.

I think this is my last adult sweater for a while. It just takes so long!
